About us

Built in the Den. Made for Performance.

Badger Cricket was built in a garage in Melbourne with a simple goal —
to make the perfect cricket bat.

No factory lines.
No shortcuts.
Just time, care, an obsession with performance and improving

The Story

Badger Cricket started the same way most good things do —
out of frustration.

After years of playing with top-level bats, it became clear that not all bats are created equal. Some looked great but didn’t perform. Others performed but didn’t last.

So instead of settling, I started making my own.

What began as learning the basics has turned into an ongoing pursuit to build the best bats possible — constantly testing, refining, and improving every detail.

Today, Badger Cricket produces a limited number of bats each year, along with hundreds of repairs and refurbishments for cricketers who want to get the most out of their gear.

Built Different

Every Badger bat is:

  • Handcrafted in Melbourne
  • Made from carefully selected willow
  • Shaped with performance in mind — not just appearance
  • Designed for real cricketers, not display racks

There’s no “one shape fits all” approach here.
Each bat is made with intent — from pickup and balance to profile and power.

Proven Performance

This isn’t theory — it’s tested in the middle.

Badger bats are tested and used in real matches, real conditions, and built based on what actually performs.

That’s the standard every bat is held to.

More Than Just New Bats

Badger Cricket is also trusted for:

  • Bat repairs & refurbishments
  • Handle replacements
  • Performance reshaping

Thousands of bats have come through the workshop — each one teaching something new about what makes a bat perform at its best.

Why Badger?

Because you’re not just buying a bat.

You’re getting:

  • Experience from using the worlds best cricket bats
  • Experience from thousands of repairs
  • Obsession with detail
  • A bat built to perform — not just look good
  • A bat built exactly for YOU

From the Den to the Middle

Badger Cricket is still built the same way it started —
in a Melbourne garage, one bat at a time.

No shortcuts. No compromises.
Just a commitment to making better bats.
